Comic Relief I'm not a big comic book guy at all (I've purchased maybe 20 in my life, and none since elementary school), but I've really been enjoying this Best American Comics 2006 collection.  Ever since my buddy Robin tipped me off that this was in the works, I thought it would be a good way to finally understand what the 'grownup' comic world was about.  

They're not all amazing, but there are enough thought-provoking, surprising pieces in book (comics as iraq war journalism!  comics as genealogy!) that it's worth checking out if, like me, your comics knowledge consists of Hagar the Horrible and various dudes flying around in tights.
