Sexton in the City Saw Martin Sexton last night at the House of Blues - it was my first time there, and my first time seeing him live. 

AMAZING show/showman - he's touring for another month, so catch him if you can.  

He's actually scheduled to appear on Mountain Stage, my hometown's local (but nationally syndicated, and increasingly famous) radio show, which is doing a little touring of its own.  They're calling it 'Moving the Mountain' - if you live in Philly, Boston, NYC, Ann Arbor, or, uh.. Vienna, VA (?), brace yourself for some kick-ass WV public radio.

I've hit a string of quality concerts recently - last weekend was Ted Leo and the Pharmacists and the annual KCRW show, which featured the Shins, Lily Allen, Cold War Kids, and, my new favorite latin flamenco/metal band, Rodridgo y Gabriela (on stage, they described themselves as playing "crazy music," and that's about right...)

Also, hitting blockbuster tonight to rent Shaun of the Dead - loved Hot Fuzz, and everyone says S.o.t.D. is just as good.
