Got a call @ the office yesterday from my credit card company, trying to upsell me on some stupid 'credit protector' service I don't need.

Pretty standard variety telemarketing - female with a thick indian accent reading a stilted, scripted pitch.  

However, I could barely hear about the fabulous services that Chase bank was pleased to offer me due to the RIDICULOUS amount of noise in the background of the call - a cacophony of whooping cheers and screams.

I'd normally hang up, but I was curious - I asked the girl what on earth was going on.  She pretended not to know, until I kept pressing - 'come on, it sounds like you're at a concert or a riot or something - what on earth is happening?  Are you okay?'

Finally, embarrassed, she fessed up.

"I am sorry, sir.  We are all watching cricket."
